can be used with a portable GPS navigation system?
Can anyone tell me if there is software available that will work for laptop as a GPS system? or a device that plugs into the USB port that connects to the GPS system and allow the laptop to work as a large-screen GPS system?
You have to have a GPS receiver. There are literally dozens of portable GPS. Exactly how well they perform compared to a unit standard aftermarket such as Garmin or Tom Tom, I can not tell you. At the beginning of these systems were plagued with problems, including the application layer software. Its interface was sometimes very complicated and some had additional cables and antennas that made them a nightmare to use.
